Basic and Advanced Courses in Pilates

The basic course is taught 2 times a week for 4 weeks and is intended as preparation for the practitioner to attend other group classes in the timetable at Pilates Port.

Work is done on mattresses and Wall/Tower units, specially equipped pilates equipment.

All basic exercises in the Pilates system will be reviewed as well as the underlying philosophy. Emphasis is placed on mid strength, stretching and proper posture.

Pilates exercises contribute systematically to strengthening the body’s deep muscles, connecting muscle groups, and strengthening and increasing spine flexibility.

 

NEW – Basic online courses in Pilates

The next Basic Course in Pilates taught online for 6 weeks in a closed Facebook group.

All basic exercises in the Pilates system will be reviewed as well as the underlying philosophy. Emphasis is placed on mid strength, stretching and proper posture. We’ll be having a time 2x a week “live” on Zoom for 30 minutes each time. Recordings will then be available after each session that can be done anywhere, anytime.

At the beginning of the course, each practitioner will write down for themselves the reason for wanting to practice Pilates and what they want out of the course. Various tidbits and shorter exercises that are good to do every day will also be added to the group each week along with lots of other fun things.

In a duo class there are two practitioners simultaneously and the classes are tailor-made to the needs and abilities of the practitioners.

Group sessions for beginners and advanced.

PILATES CORE

Basic Pilates system exercises. Emphasis is placed on the objectives of the exercises and that each practitioner builds a strong foundation at his or her own pace. Great times for those who are getting to know Pilates or want to better understand the basic techniques of Pilates.

Maximum capacity of six persons.

PILATES FLOW

These classes focus more on Pilates advanced exercises. Build on the foundation and learn to do the exercises in the right order. These classes are for practitioners who have basic knowledge of Pilates.

Maximum capacity of six persons.

You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions.
