About Pilates
Pilates is an exercise system with over 500 exercises and was designed according to the philosophy of the pioneer Joseph Pilates. The exercises have clear goals and are performed on specially designed equipment. Pilates is for everyone, and the emphasis is on strengthening and stretching the body’s deep muscles, especially the center of the body, the so-called Powerhouse. The exercises in Pilates are based on high precision, and the emphasis is on quality and doing each exercise correctly with few repetitions.
When Pilates is practiced purposefully, practitioners experience increased energy, concentration and overall well-being of body and soul.
